Project Description
This project is another example of effective cooperation with Moos & Co. , a New York based interior design office.
The building is located in one of the most celebrated seaside place in Israel and is consisting of a rationalist single family villa with large sliding windows both on the road front and on the rear facing a private garden with pool.
The interior spaces design aims to contrast the white and decorless shell with warm colors and outstanding character furniture pieces: the living area is marked out by the mustard color leather Volage couch and armchairs by Philippe Starck for Cassina matched with red brick dressed Utrecht armchairs, a 1935 G.T. Rietveld design now produced by Cassina and the world-renowned Barcelona dormeuse by Mies van der Rohe for Knoll International. In the dining area, next to the living, the large oval white laminate table by Saarinen for Knoll International is surrounded by the Wire chairs by Eames for Vitra International with the famous steel rod base and dressed in refined light blue fabric and lit by Urquiola Caboche hanging lamps.
Large sliding windows lead to the garden: here both for the seating and dining area and for the poolside area the furniture selected is part of In Out collection by Paola Navone for Gervasoni, characterized by a clever combination of materials, shapes and colors (teakwood, ceramic, fabric and hand woven polyethylene) which adds to the exterior space a refined informal look highlighting the beautiful pool clad in light blue mosaic tiles.
This design is marked by a skilful balance that makes the whole building look luxurious and informal at the same time.
